What a busy day!

Not only have we celebrated our Hindu workshop and cleaned the church but we also had time to share some wonderful stories with our friends in Reception Class.

We’ve been working hard on our last SATS Assesment piece and we wrote stories in the style of The Moomins which we read to children in YrF.

Cultural Awareness Day

This afternoon we welcomed a Cultural Champion from the Hindu faith. We all learnt about the Holi Festival and we explored many artefacts, clothes and traditional items connected to the Hindu Culture.

Community Awards

Class 6 worked towards their Community Awards today by all helping to clean St Andrews Church. We all arrived with gardening tools and polish ready to spring clean inside and tidy the graveyard.

Everyone worked extremely hard with a group of volunteers from the church and the results were amazing and much appreciated.

Skern Lodge

We’ve just returned from a wonderful weekend at Skern Lodge. The children were an absolute pleasure to take on residential. Everyone pushed themselves to fully participate and join in with all the brilliant activities.

We’ve surfed with jelly fish, rafted down the river, explored the tunnels, completed the high ropes and worked as a team to complete the obstacle course. As well as building campfires and shelters, playing wide games, swimming and eating loads of delicious food!

Your children can now all keep their rooms tidy (for two days!) strip beds and pack all their own belongings. They showed real maturity and did Ipplepen Primary proud! 😇
