Cricket Crazy!

We were very privileged to be invited to Ipplepen Cricket Club to enjoy a variety of cricket based games today.

All of KS2 came dressed in PE kit with picnic lunches packed and sun cream ready as we walked to the cricket ground on a glorious morning.

We were greeted by Chris Partridge and his helpers from the cricket club and an amazing group of sports leaders from Coombeshead. The girls from Coombeshead were all former pupils and it was wonderful to see them run the games with such maturity and skill.

Everyone then had turns at four different stations to participate in games designed to encourage bowling, catching, batting, fielding, team work and general speed and agility.

Teams were mixed age and it was fantastic to see children encouraging and supporting each other to all have fun. I expect the Cricket Club may get a few more members in the future!

Premier Sports Fun

Premier Sports who run holiday clubs here at Ipplepen School came to lead an assembly. They showed us a game called Human Bukeroo! They also set up some archery on the playground for people to try as they came into school.
