Today we went to visit the church with Class F. There were lots of displays up showing children’s work and some history of the church. Be sure to find some time to go up and have a look.
The children are currently working extremely hard revising in preparation for SATS week. They’re all doing great!
Today we were visited by the Easter Bunny. The children had to work for their chocolate though by answering questions to then find and locate a coloured stone, that in turn unlocked the chocolate.
The Year 6 children visited Marldon Primary School to attend an Alcohol workshop. It gave the children a lot of information about alcohol and what an effect it could have on you in a safe environment. The children should have brought home an alcohol fact sheet to share with you.
What a fantastic assembly. Well done to everyone they did a fantastic job.
For the next few weeks leading up to SAT’s week we have now decided to give the children their homework books to complete as much as they can. I will send the answers home for the English book so you can check through them with your child. The maths book doesn’t come with any answers so the children can bring them in and we can clarify anything that needs clarifying. We have also sent home the years 3, 4, 5, and 6 spellings word list. These are the words likely to come up the the SAT’s paper or similar words so we have advised the children to learn them all.
We are only 5 school weeks away from SAT’s week so anything extra you can do with your child at home would be fantastic.
If you have any questions or queries please come in and ask.
